To raise awareness of National Foster Care Awareness Month, foster care advocate and adoptive mom Melanie Gilbert, created the #fostercarein5words Twitter campaign.

The goal was to start a conversation, hear the voices, and share the message of kids in foster care.

Hundreds of people joined the campaign, thousands retweeted it, and millions viewed it.
