"I Am SOMEBODY: Raising Hope and Awareness for Children in Foster Care" is a finalist in the Children's Wellbeing Initiative.

The nationwide contest, sponsored by Ashoka Changemakers and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, is focused on securing wellbeing for every child in the United States, from infancy
to 12 years.

I Am SOMEBODY is my public-awareness campaign that changes the foster care narrative from hopeless to hopeful, and from worthless to worth it.

The affirming message encourages families to foster and adopt children from the child welfare system. Currently, there are more than 400,000 children in the US foster care system with 108,000 having the goal of adoption right now.

Let’s elevate the positive message about kids in care!
